Our Wedding

Although Daphne and Hunter are Lynchburg locals, they spent years just missing each other. Their paths finally crossed on June 2, 2022, when Daphne stopped by Starr Hill for a beer. Struck by his kind eyes and big smile, Daphne took advantage of her choice of seat and sat down right in front of him. The spark between the pair was undeniable with hours of chatting and laughing. As they went their separate ways that evening, Daphne noticed that Hunter didn't ask for her number! Of course this must have been a mistake, how ever would they live happily ever after if he couldn't call? After a little encouragement from her girlfriends, Daphne made the first move; she found him on Facebook and gave him her number.

It wasn't long before they realized just how much they had in common. They quickly fell in love with each other and the life they were creating together, from basking in the sun at the lake, family game nights, wine and beer tastings, Mystery Movie Mondays, and playing pickleball. Their adventures have taken them across each coast from the sun-kissed beaches of St. Pete, Florida to the mountains of Portland, Oregon. Each destination etched a chapter in their love story, creating a mosaic of memories that spoke to the vastness of their shared experiences. They both knew marriage was the next relationship milestone, and on November 26, 2023 Hunter proposed and Daphne said yes!

Now they cannot imagine their lives without each other and are excited to embark on this new chapter together, surrounded by the support and love of those around them. Thank you for being part of this celebration as every single one of you has had a helping hand in the journey to this beautiful occasion. Cheers!

Whether you are traveling from near or far, this is our chance to greet you, raise a glass, and celebrate the start of an unforgettable weekend!

Wedding & Reception 

4:30pm @ Virginian Hotel712 Church St. Lynchburg, VA 24504 The ceremony will commence at 4:30 p.m., followed by a cocktail hour and an elegant dinner reception at the Virginian Hotel. But wait—there’s more! At 9pm sharp, we’ll stage a “faux exit” (think sparklers, cheers, and all the classic send-off vibes). Plot twist: we’re not actually leaving. Instead, consider it the intermission of our wedding spectacular.&nbsp; During this 15-minute break, we invite you to swap the wedding attire for something a little more... dance-floor friendly. Leggings, basketball shorts, sneakers—you name it. To top it off, the Bride &amp; Groom will provide custom t-shirts so you can party in style. By 9:15pm, it’s game on. We’ll reconvene in the ballroom at the Virginian Hotel for "Reception Round 2" with more dancing, more fun, and less worrying about blisters. The celebration will keep going until 11pm, when we’ll finally call it a night—sweaty, happy, and stylishly comfortable.&nbsp; If you’re not ready to call it a night (we don’t blame you), head upstairs to Skyline, the Virginian Hotel’s rooftop bar. They’ll be keeping the lights on late just for us—perfect for a nightcap!

Enjoy the RiverWalk trail for the ultimate urban/scenic nature walk, also a place where Hunter and Daphne frequently walked when they both lived in downtown Lynchburg. The first bridge on the trail is where Hunter proposed to Daphne!

Percival's Island Natural Area

The birthplace of Hunter and Daphne's love story in the summer of 2022. Starr Hill is where Daphne and Hunter met, and Hunter is now the General Manager. Starr Hill is a microbrewery offering rotating beers on tap in its rustic-industrial tasting room located downtown.

Neighbors Place is a local Lynchburg restaurant where Hunter and Daphne frequent, that Daphne's dad just so happens to be a part owner of. Enjoy the bride and groom's favorite bites including the Pulled Pork Tots (Daphne's favorite) and Chicken Marsala with sautéed mushrooms (Hunter's favorite).
